After a recent dry spell Inter Milan raced into the lead away at lowly Reggina, Zlatan played a superb pass into Maicon who was advancing into the top right hand side of the box, and the Brazilian slammed home a shot into the top corner. Inter’s bright start continued in the 23rd minute as Patrick Vieira slotted in number two. But Reggina hit back with a training ground corner routine as the ball went back to Cozza who fired home for the hosts. In the second half Reggina found the equaliser, Cesar failed to keep out Brienza’s low shot. With the Nerazzurri pressing for a winner Crespo hit the woodwork with a header, and just as it looked like it was ending in a draw Ivan Cordoba powered home a winner in injury time.
I nerazzurri sprecano troppo e vincono 3-2 solo nel recupero grazie al colombiano Cordoba. Prima di lui avevano segnato Maicon e Vieira, con rimonta calabrese affidata a Cozza e Brienza.
