Thiago Ribeiro’s long-ranger thumper blasted Cagliari ahead early on, but Roma were soon back level when Juan powered home a header from a set-play. The Giallorossi took the lead in the 34th when Fabio Borini followed up a free-kick, however Cagliari equalised in the 41st through Mauricio Pinilla. A ding-dong thriller turned in the hosts’ favour in the 49th when Thiago Ribeiro scored his second of the match from a Pinilla assist. Albin Ekdal wrapped up the home win in injury time.
